The application enables the visualization and the computation of images and orthophotos, the processing of AI driven analytics in order to assess the evolution of your crops, and drive data-driven agronomic decisions in crucial parts of your business by easily computing metrics like vegetation indexes, weed detection, or generating prescription maps.

With Alteia’s Precision Agriculture application, you can transform the way you make agronomic decisions. Start by evaluating the efficiency of your inputs or farming practices, for example, quantifying crop response to a particular input or assessing the seeding quality based on the number of plants and vigor results.

Additionally, you can deploy a fully automated end-to-end precision Ag solution and integrate it with external applications like MyJohnDeere. This allows you to use a feature, such as automatic weed detection, and seamlessly transfer that information to the sprayer terminal.

Simply drag and drop your drone flight data into Alteia, and it will process automatically your images (RGB, thermal, multispectral, hyperspectral) into a 2D map of your worksite within hours. Alteia Precision Agriculture leverages cloud computing and the best photogrammetry engines on the market depending on the desired outputs: Pix4d, Bentley Context Capture, or Agisfot Metashape. The application also includes an intuitive interface for manual or AI-assisted Ground Control Point tagging and image calibration.

Stand count, plant height and yield estimation

This analytic automatically detects and counts plants and gaps. It determines the precise number of plants in a specific area, plant heights, and compares it to the expected results and calculates the percentage under the norm. You can use the Stand Count report to evaluate seed quality (germination rate), decide whether to replant or not, and mark the zones of potential yield losses. By obtaining an early yield estimate from Stand Count analysis, it’s easier to plan future agricultural operations and be proactive in replanting efforts.

FCover Analysis

This workflow enables you to create grids over an area of interest and provide Fraction of Vegetation Cover. F-Cover is the percentage of plant material that covers the soil surface when observed from straight above. As an example, monitoring F-Cover on agricultural fields from the early season onwards presents an indication of the rate of crop development and vigor. Increasing F-Cover signifies the development of leaf area or above-ground biomass.
